Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: May 30, 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for paid purchases made on Praksha, including organizer plan upgrades processed through Razorpay.
By making a purchase on Praksha, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for paid purchases made directly on Praksha.
Today, the only paid purchase available on Praksha is an organizer plan upgrade (for example, Premium or Custom plans) that unlocks additional hosting features for organizers. Event registrations on Praksha are currently free — paid event ticketing is not yet enabled.
If paid event ticketing is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated, and event-specific refund terms (if any) will also be shown on the relevant event page by the organizer.
2. Organizer Plan Payments
Organizer plan payments are processed securely through Razorpay. On successful payment, your organizer account is upgraded to the purchased plan tier for the applicable billing period shown at checkout.
Plan upgrades apply immediately after payment verification and are tied to the organizer profile that made the purchase.
3. Cancellations
Organizer plan purchases are one-time payments for a fixed billing period and do not auto-renew unless explicitly stated at checkout. There is no ongoing subscription to cancel unless you choose to purchase another billing period.
If you no longer wish to continue on a paid plan, you may simply choose not to renew when the current billing period ends. Your organizer account will continue to work on the free tier after the paid period expires.
4. Refund Eligibility
Because plan upgrades unlock access immediately, refunds are generally not provided once a plan has been successfully activated. However, we will review and may issue a refund in cases such as:
- You were charged more than once for the same plan upgrade due to a technical or payment gateway error.
- Payment was deducted from your account but the plan upgrade was not applied to your organizer profile, and the issue is not resolved after contacting support.
- You were charged for a plan tier different from the one you selected at checkout, due to a platform error.
5. Refunds Not Provided
Refunds will not be provided for change of mind after a plan has been activated and used, partial use of a billing period, or dissatisfaction with features that were clearly described before purchase.
Refunds will also not be provided where an organizer account has been suspended or restricted for violating our Terms and Conditions.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@praksha.app within 7 days of the payment date, with your registered email address, the organizer profile name, and the payment or order ID shown in your receipt.
We may ask for additional details to verify the payment and investigate the issue before approving a refund.
7. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method used at checkout, through Razorpay.
Refunds typically reflect in your account within 5-10 business days after approval, depending on your bank or payment provider. Praksha does not control timelines set by banks or payment networks.
8. Failed or Pending Payments
If an amount is debited from your account but the checkout shows a failure or remains pending, please wait a few hours, as such payments are often auto-reversed by the payment gateway or bank.
If the amount is not reversed and your plan was not activated within 24 hours, contact us at support@praksha.app with your payment details so we can investigate.
